When we are overwhelmed, anxious, or in danger, our senses go on high alert. Cool fact: we can also use our five senses to help our bodies calm-down and regulate. In this episode, I’m excited to continue our conversation about recovery from burnout and talk about ways that we can use our senses to help promote self-care and regulation.
This is a short episode and will be a shallow-end wade rather than a deep dive into a conversation about the senses. I hope it will inspire more curiosity about your body, your triggers, and your own window of tolerance. Even more importantly, I hope it encourages you to have more compassion for yourself and those around you on your soul-care and recovery journey.
